SQL Server comes with a component called Reporting Services with which
you can create reports.

There is also Analysis Services where you can create cubes and all
that.

I've not used any of these components myself, so I can't give more details.

Reporting Services does not come with SQL 2000, of the simple reason that
Reporting Services was not released until 2003.

You can download the Evaluation Edition here
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=22&p=4&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=&u=%2fdownloads%2fdetails.aspx%3fFamilyID%3dba517c01-2e2f-4bc7-84af-149b7637f807%26DisplayLang%3den

I don't know the exact procedures to get a copy of Reporting Services
for real, but I am fairly confident that it is include in the regular
license for SQL 2000. Whether it actually runs on Personal Edition, I
don't know.

I would suggest that you contact your local Microsoft representative
for the commercial details.

Regular license means standard edition ? can get it to work in sql 2000
personal edition anyway ?
