Yes, definetly.

Even if you only have one IIS gaining access to the server like storing
data for internet presence you have to either license all users having
access to the server (which is complicated in a internet environment)
or buy a SQL Proc license.

Hi ...

I would sincerely appreciate some input on a few questions related to SQL
Server Express:

(1) Is SQL Server Express free for business use ?

(2) Does the 1GB RAM limit does that mean SQLExpress will only use 1 GB or
the machine it's running can only have 1 GB installed ?

(3) Similar question on CPUs; if you have a dual core proceesor, does it
only use one core or does it not run at all ?

(4) Are the admin tools available "generally adequate" for maintaining a
relatively small DB for a small business (~ 10 employees) ?

FINALLY ....

If Express is not going to be adequate, can anyone give me a ballpark figure
for the cost of 10-user license for Workgroup and Standard editions; I say
10 users but this is going to be the back end of a web application so the
only "user" will be IIS ....

Thanks a lot for any help ...
