Get stored proc or SQL from sysprocesses pre SQL2000 SP3 -- sql server (microsoft)

Is there a way to get some hint about what sql is running for a given entry
in sysprocessess for an SQL2000 PRE SP3 system?

I seem to recall that I used to do it but can't find how I did it. Perhaps I
really did not do it.

DBCC INPUTBUFFER can often provide something.
