sql server (microsoft) : Various DBs switching to Single User Mode by themselves!!

Hi,

We have a curious situation. We have a SQL 2000 server with about 25
dbs. About once a week or every 2 weeks (this varies) . What happens
is that 3 to 4 of the dbs appear in SINGLEUSER mode. This obviously
causes a problem.

Does anybody have any idea as to what might be causing this to
happen?.

Help is very appreciated.

It is likely that a scheduled task of some type is doing this. Have
you checked the logs and event viewer for information and a time
pattern?

I am not sure of the flags to set but I am sure SQL profiler will
allow you to trace changes to your DBS.
