I have windows 2000 Server Service Pack 4 and SQL Server 2000
enterprise edittion. System has 4GB of RAM. Can I use AWE feature.

Hi Praveen,

Yes you could turn AWE on but with the amount of memory you currently
have it's most likely going to be little or no use for you.

Without AWE on your 4GB machine SQL Server would use 2GB and the OS
would use 2GB. If you set the /3GB setting in the boot.ini you would
allow SQL Server 3GB and the OS 1GB so you could try this, however AWE
really isn't necessary until you go greater than 4GB of RAM.
