I'm getting the error above when ever I try to register a
sql server in enterprise manager. This just started
occuring today and I haven't been able to find anyone who
has successfully dealt with this error. If anyone has
had any luck....please let me know.

I started by reinstalling MDAC....then I uninstalled the
client tools and reinstalled. Neither did the trick.

Thanks in advance!

I have seen cases before where 3rd party software overwrote ODBC file
SQLSRV32.DLL causing this issue.

Possible solution:

Oops - sent too quick...

Repeating:

I have seen cases before where 3rd party software overwrote ODBC file
SQLSRV32.DLL causing this issue.

Possible solution:

- Rename the existing sqlsrv32.dll (from system32).
- Copy the sqlsrv32.dll from SP3 download to system32.
- Reboot.
