sql server clients : MMC Viewing Database Tables

I've been using Sql Server 7.0 and managing several
databases using the MMC for 3+ years.
About two weeks ago I lost the capability to view only
the tables for only one database.

This sounds suspiciously like a permissions issue, have you verified that
this is an issued for a sysadmin equivalent account?
