sql server clients : Want a SQL Server Enabler

We want to install SQL Server on a windows 2000 PC. i was told there is a
sql server enabler that can be installed on the 2000 pc so SQKL server can
be installed. Is this correct? anmy idea on the cost?

If you have an office XP developer license, you can download Microsoft SQL
Desktop Engine (MSDE) -- http://www.microsoft.com/msde for more info. It
has no GUI, just OSQL and any programmatic interfaces you create.

If this is for development, you can buy SQL 2000 developer edition

We are running SQL Server 7.0 We have an application developed, we want to
be able to show it on a standalone PC.
