large data - connection timeout

I have 11 tables and fire query on them with joins as right and inner joins between them.The data is in lakhs (5 lakhs). The query gives connection time out even in enterprise manager. We have some SQL 7 servers and some SQL 2000 servers. I have loaded the client utility for SQL 7 and SQL 2000 on my workstation. I have connected to one of the SQL 7 servers through Query Analyzer and was successful in doing a query. Are there any problems with only loading the SQL 2000 ...more >>

Hi, At One of our PC (Windows XP) we are using a VB Application and which is connected to the SQL Server Remotely through VPN Setup.
