This isn't something I know much about but Paul Wilson has his own O/R Mapper
and has written a lot on the subject so you may find some useful info on his
site.

Greetings !

We're surprise to see no reply to our original question about
Object/Relational mappers.

So no one as such architecture?

We need this for our software since we made such a layer years ago but it
doesn't perform as we expected.

We're then looking for a commercial mapping framework.

We're currently looking toward "Versant Open Access" and ObjectStore's
"EdgeXtend".

Again, we are developing on VC6.

Thanks

These guys have some reasonable product:

Also, MS had a plan to release ObjectSpaces with VS2005 but it got pulled
last I heard. There's some stuff on this up on MSDN at:

ORM is presently far more mature on other platforms such as JAVA, STRUTS
which is a pity for us Windows developers because it's a very powerful &
important part of agile development techniques. That said, I've had the
*pleasure* of haveing to performance tune some ORM based systems & I can
promise you it ain't a fun thing to do.
