I am pretty new to SQL but have been asked to purchase 10
user cals for our employees. Would anyone know what needs
to be done to load the cals for the clients to be able to
access the server. Thanks in advance for any help

The user CAL's provide the legal agreement that allows you to access SQL.
There is really nothing else you need to do. If you're asking what do you
need for client to SQL Server communication, download and apply the
appropriate version of MDAC.

Nothing to the first 2 questions. Yes to the last.

If you are ever audited, you want to be in a position to show licenses for
clients that are using SQL Server.
