sql server clients : Install SQL 2000 Desktop Engine Problem

This error can occur if u r trying to install a default instance of MSDE on
a computer that has a default instanc of sql server already installed.

Hi,
When I install MS SQL 2000 Desktop Engine on
a win2K computer, I got an error message:
"The instance name specified is invalid." and
then cannot proceed. Why ?

Please advise how to solve the problem.
