Hi

It is a known side effect of installing SQL Server 2005 on a machine with
SQL Server 2000 tools installed on it.

It will be fixed by RTM.

Mike

Hi

I recently installed the Feb 2005 CTP on a desktop that already had SQL 2000
on. I installed 2005 as a named instance, thereby wanting a side-by-side
installation. My problem is that Query Analyzer now is no longer applying
the colors to keywords. Irrespective of what I set the colors to be (in the
options), all text in the editor is Black.

Please help.

Thanks
Craig

Hi Mike

Thanks for the honesty. I just wish MS would give us better warning about
these kinds of things.

Thanks
Craig

My still displays the colors to keywords; note I did apply SQL 2000 SP4
Beta to by system after doing feb 2005 ctp because I was having
connection issues.

This can be resolved by running:

regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqllex.dll"

Which will re-register the 2000 color coding lexer.
