There are several versions for SQL server 2005. Which one to use? -- sql server clients

Hello!

The OS I use in windows 2000 professional.

I'm going to install SQL Server 2005 and there are three different versions.
These are SQL Sever Itanium, SQL Server x64, and SQL Server x86

I just wonder what is the difference between these and which one is the best
to use in my case?

Hello Tony!

x64 Means 64Bit Architecture. If your server system is 64Bit, then you are
gonna choose x64.

If your server system is Itanium, then you'll stick with it.

If your system is 32Bit then you'r gonna need to select x86.

You also have right to install x86 on x64, however this is not recommended.

Professional then you should install the x86 version (because this OS
is 32-bit only).
