Are you giving the same virtual server for the cluster as the SQL Server virtual name? If yes, then you will get the message you wrote. SQL Server virtual name needs to be an unique name
Provide more details for anybody ready the post to help you. What are the node names, windows cluster name and sql server virtual name? When are you getting this message. The more info you provide the
better answer you can expect to get. If your setup is failing then cut and paste from the sql setup files will enable us to help you better.
For uninstalling, for a virtual server, use the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Setup program that is on the CD and click the Uninstall option. This is documented in the "How to uninstall an existing installation of SQL
Server (Setup)" topic in SQL Server Books Online.
