please help on this error

i was installing SQL Server 2000 ENT on Windows Server 2003. Cluster. after assignin the VirtualServer Ip the Setup stoped and generated an event in the event viewer." Event ID:1000, Faulting Application_INS5576._MP, version 5.53.168.0, faulting module sqlsui.dll, version 2000.80.194.0, fault address. 0x00000003 "

It points out the possible reason due to bad SQL setup
source. Try getting another CD or copy to hard disk to
install. ^^

I have seen similar error message when the setup CD was bad. Can you install a default instance from the CD?

If yes, then run the virtual server setup and when the setup fails, cut and paste the sqlstp.log for us to review.
