Hi,
Our Cluster Server had problems last week. Once it's up,
the SQL Server Agent shows running. But when I double
click the jobs, all jobs show Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQL
State: 42000) Error 14258: Cannot perform this operation
while SQLServerAgent is starting. Try again later.

We have an active-passive MSCS Sql cluster. The systems are running MS Win2k
SP3. We are currently at MS SQL SP1. I try to install SQL SP3a and it seems
to go ok and after a long wait and it seems near the very end I get an error
stating installation failed.

I have a SQL Server 2000 Clustered server that has not
been rebooted in several months and the error log is
approximately 1.5 MB in size. It takes several minutes to
refresh the error log. What is the best practice to
eliminate last month's data from the error log?

I run a SQL2k/win2k adv active/passive 2 node cluster
