sql server clustering : SQL Jobs Hanging...

Hi,

The Jobs in my sql server 2000 are hanging. The backup job backs up all
the 30 databases except 2 of them, but the job never completes.
I have to cancel it each time.I dont find any errors in the Win Event
viewer or SQL error logs. When I use check db on tempdb
I see two temp tables with the name ##db_maint_plan_lock_db_test and
##db_maint_plan_lock_db_SBtest. I suspect that there some locks
holding up the databases,
which may be resulting in a bottleneck.I also found out that these two
databses test and sbtest are not backed up.Is it safe to drop these
temp tables .
What can be done to correct this problem?

Please help

Thanks

Separate out the failing backups into their own job and see if the problem
still occurs. Try scheduling them without a maintenance plan. Also check
the maintenance plan logs, the SQL Agent log, and the SQL Server error log.
