I understand that active/active require atleast 2 nodes and each node has an sql instance running on it. What is the reason for wanting the quorom drive on a seperate physical drive than the data drive for SQL Server Is it just so that if SQL would fail, then the quorum & cluster would still be up? Is there a way to determine the currently active node in a cluster? I would prefer to use .Net to determine which node is currently active. Anybody have any insight into this?
