Is it possible to setup a clustered environemnt using 2 desktops. I have Windows 2000 AS software and SQL Server Enterprise Edition software at work and I can use it. How to setup the cluster? Also do I need to buy additional hardware

You can, but it's messy. There are some articles on it
somewhere on the Ms Web.

I prefer VMWare. I suggest at least 512MB RAM but you will
only need one PC. I believe to have heard that the latest
(or comming) version of VirtualPC supports clustering as
well.

VirtualPC does not support clustering and it will not even allow you to do
it.

VMWare does not support clustering, but it can be setup and will work.
