Sorry, this on may be a very easy question for this group but I've to find

I should take offline backup at midnight after stopping sql server 2000.
But it's prohibited to stop by writing a task like "net stop MSSQLSERVER"

Hi SQL folks,
We had a database just disappear. It shows up in Enterprise Manager, but
the MDB and LDB files are just gone. All the other databases are there, and
working OK also. Could something like disk corruption cause this? No one

Hi
I have a two node cluster with SQL2000 SP3. When the node1 fails over to
node2, the SQL Server Agent fails. The log file says "Login Failed for user
'sa'" I don't understand how the SA account can fail on node2 and not on

Situation: Active passive 2 node cluster using SAN drive.
For starters I'm thinking:
1. back up all SQL databases located on shared SAN drive.
2. uninstall clustered sql.
3. uninstall clustering
4. re-install clustering with node 1, new node 2
