I will be relocating a SQL 2000 cluster onto a new subnet of a corporate network and will need to change the 'public' IP address of the cluster nodes as well as the virtual IP address. In doing this, I want to make sure that I have the proper process down correctly

What would cause a SQL Server 2000 Clustered server to
output the error message listed below. This is a Windows
2000 Advanced Server. The error was pulled out of the SQL

Basically, I need to have real active/active cluster
solution on SQL server(any MS platform).
The windows failover clustering tech is share nothing
clustering , so can not do the load balancing stuff(
distribute transaction traffic between servers).

In SQL Server 7.0 NT 4.0 Ent. How do I start and stop the SQL Server
service. When I stop the service with the service control applet, it just
restarts itself. How can I stop this with the cluster admininstrator?

Hi.
I'm in the process of migrating from a HP XP SAN to an
EVA5000. The big issue is how to transfer the SQL Server
disks.
My plan is to give the cluster access to disks on both
nodes. Change the Quorum drive to the EVA quorum disk.

I have read that the cluster admin needs to be a domain admin to setup a
cluster. I am using Win2003 and SQL 2000. Is that true ? If not, what are
the minimum rights required as our n/w admins are hesitant about creating it
as a member of domain admins
