we are trying to install "SQL-Server Version 8.00.780 SP3" on a Win2003
2-node Cluster. The Installation breaks, and in the sqlstp.log we find the

sql server service can not start when failover

I meet problem when one node of cluster servers go down.
The backup node take the shared disk and IP , network
name, ..., but can not bring the sql server service on
line , failed several times.
Does anyone have pro exp. on this senario?

We have problem on our 2 original sql instances in a 4-node cluster.
Both the 2 old instances get one warning and one error message in the
event log.
This is the warning message for one of the instances:

I have installed a dual node active passive W2K3 Clusters with SQL 2K.
The cluster has RAID10 for data and RAID1 for Quorum and Transaction Logs.
How do I put the Transaction logs on the RAID1 disk as at install SQL2K only
asks where you would like to put the SQL data ?

final question for now! I have installed an active passive 2 node cluster and it works fine. What things should I look out for which don't behave the same way as when you have a normal non-clustered installation? I realise this is a vague question, but any advice would be welcome
