We have a four node cluster which was in a NT 4.0 domain - only two of them active. Our goal is to make 3 active 1 passive. Recently we migrated to Active Directory on Win 2003. The CLuster nodes are running win 2003 as well.

My Current configuration is:
Windows 2003, cluster service, SQL 2000 sp3
I have 3 databases I want to run one in the cluster node1 and the other two
databases in the node2.
So, when node1 fail, node2 take the node1 DB and vice-versa.

how many shared disk drives do you need ie am I right in
thinking that you should have the following shared drives
C:\ for SQL Server installation
D:\ for data files
E:\ for log files
Q:\ for quorum disk

I am not using a SAN to setup Win2003 CLusters, two nodes.
How can I share the hard disk in order to make this work for both nodes ?
All documentation I read states that I must have shared hard disk common to
the two servers and that's not clear to me when all I have is that hard

Client has decided they want to rename the Virtual SQL Server from
(lets say) SQLA to SQLB.
Fair enough. Uninstall SQL Server and reinstall.
Am I right in thinking that I cannot restore the master from the SQLA
incarnation to the SQLB incarnation.

defeating the object of rebuilding it!
