Log shipping secondary server edition

In log shipping between 2 computer I'm aware that you have to use Enterprise edition on the primary server. Can you use Standard edition on the secondary server? I've read a bunch of MS answers and they seem to leave that question open. Thanks....more >>


Cluster memory issue

I'm currently running 2 SQl Instance as an active/active cluster. Both servers are identical running windows 2000 Advance server. SQL Server Enterprise 2000 with settings exactly the same on both servers, 8GB of memory, both servers are new builds, Windows sees all the memory, boot.ini a...more >>

I got a question/prob: I changed the ip addy of my CLUSTER (physical) and now my virtual servers won't pass the "online pending" stage. They maintained the old ips.Is this possible? Can anyone tell me what can i do to get the online pending to online? any info? ...more >>

rebuilding master in SS2K cluster

Ref KB298568 the Note after last step (step 7) states that you should restore recent backup of master. Isn't this defeating the object of rebuilding it! Any neat tips/tricks for recovering objects from previous master? regards, Tim G-J...more >>

Hi, i tried to install a SQL Server 2000 Cluster on a Windows Server 2003 but the Setup Window not even poped up after clicking "setup.bat". We have about 40 DB's blackening 40 web sites running on a single SQL2k/Win2003 an A/P cluster. When I roll the cluster from one node to the next I'm wondering exactly what sort of outage our clients would see.
