What is the best method for moving databases from one
server onto a clustered setup? Obviously you can use
backup/restore or detach/reattach. What I really need to
know is what steps you have to do after this. There must

SQL 2000 (no service pack installed yet) on Win2000
My newly configured failover cluster is experiencing sudden stops of the SQL Server service and subsequent restarts of the service. The last error log terminates with the following message:

We have a four node cluster which was in a NT 4.0 domain - only two of them active. Our goal is to make 3 active 1 passive. Recently we migrated to Active Directory on Win 2003. The CLuster nodes are running win 2003 as well.

My Current configuration is:
Windows 2003, cluster service, SQL 2000 sp3
I have 3 databases I want to run one in the cluster node1 and the other two
databases in the node2.
So, when node1 fail, node2 take the node1 DB and vice-versa.

When installing SQL Server onto a two node cluster setup -
how many shared disk drives do you need ie am I right in
thinking that you should have the following shared drives
C:\ for SQL Server installation
D:\ for data files
E:\ for log files
Q:\ for quorum disk
