Dtabases over multiple instances
Posted by at 9/21/2004 2:42:18 PM
Hi all,
For performance reason, I want to devide all databases over multiple
instances.
Say 3 instances in a 4-node cluster(win2K3).Active/Active/Active/Passive
In this case, the application would need to know on which
VirtualServer/Instance the database resides.

Comclust.exe Windows 2003 Server

From what I have read you do have to apply COMCLUST.exe to
a Windows 2003 Server on a cluster server with SQL Server
2000 Enterprise?
If this is not correct, I have already loaded Windows 2003
Server on a cluster with SQL Server 2000 Enterprise.
How would I correct this problem?

Hi, I am a complete newbie with windows clustering -
still reading the white papers etc. From what I have read
it seems that I need a Windows Domain in order to run
clustering. Is this true? Is there any way I can cluster
SQL server without having to setup a domain?
