Guys/Gals
With all the 3rd party tools available out there to achieve some level of
High Availability, why would one still consider Clustering i.e. using MSCS ?
Clustering is no cakewalk to setup and administer, yet there are other tools

We just installed a SQL 2000 instance in a 2 nodes W2003
cluster. The services are running with a domain account
which is local administrator on both nodes. When we start

sqlsrv 2000 - 2 locations 60 m apart
How do I disaster secure the master(64 bit) sqlserver
by replication - can you do that with 32 bit and 64
or by log shipping - can you do that???

Does anyone have a guide for setting up a 2 node active/passive cluster with
SQL Server? I want to try it in a VMWare GSX/ESX environment to learn how it
works. Or in a VMWare workstation or MS Virtual PC environment, but I guess
that is not possible with the shared disks?

SQL 2000 Setup Not Responding on W2k3 Ent Cluster

I am trying to setup a virtual SQL 2000 instance on Windows 2k3 Ent. I have
drives presented from the SAN and a Quorum disk and they can all failover
without issue. I start going through the SQL 2000 Installation and after I
