Guys/Gals With all the 3rd party tools available out there to achieve some level of High Availability, why would one still consider Clustering i.e. using MSCS ? Does anyone have a guide for setting up a 2 node active/passive cluster with SQL Server? I want to try it in a VMWare GSX/ESX environment to learn how it works. I am trying to setup a virtual SQL 2000 instance on Windows 2k3 Ent. I have drives presented from the SAN and a Quorum disk and they can all failover without issue.
