Can a clustered SQL 2000 installation run without DNS
Posted by Brian Cook at 9/28/2004 11:23:07 AM

Since it appears that SQL is heavily dependent on AD and DNS for the virtual
server piece, does this dependancy constitute a single point of failure?

Question, can SQL Server 2000 SP3 (not SP3A) be applied
to a windows 2003 cluster? I tried this recently (two
times) and received "the required operations did not
complete". However, the sqlsp logs state that the
installation was successful. Will soon be migrating some

Hi,
My client is getting a new SAN solution. It will use VRAID5 and will
have
seemingly boundless storage cabability. I am happy enough with the
storage aspects.
The bit I am worried about is the Virtual RAID from a performance
point
