sql server clustering : Great Plains 8.0/Dynamics 9 in a Clustered Environment

I don't know anything about the app in question, but if it is just a SQL
Server client application, then it should not matter whether the database is
on a clustered SQL instance. Of course, the app should have code to try to
automatically reconnect to the SQL instance when the SQL instance restarts
(or failover in a clustered configuration).

If the app itself has some server components that are or should be protected
by a failover cluster, it's a different story, but then it is not a SQL
Server question.

I am pretty sure the answer is Yes, but I need to cover my bases on this.

I know the SQL is covered, but are the applications above capable of
functioning, i.e. cluster aware, in a clustered environment? If so, does
anyone have any instructions or pointers to set me off into the right
direction?

TIA,

Jim

Thanks for the info!

I am familair with the SQL piece, however, I posted here as well
(microsoft.public.sqlserver.clustering) to see if anyone here has actually
installed GP on a clustered system and if so, would they be able to point me
in the right direction on how to do it. This is the piece I am inquiring
about.

I am sorry if my post was vague in my needs.

Take care,
