My employer is asking to do an Active / Active SQL 2000 cluster to utilize
both servers. Problem is, I don't think SQL 2000 supports an Active/Active
solution because both would need access to the disk which isn't possible...

Install worked fine, installed sp4 but when I go to fail from one node
to the other it fails to start on the second node. All shared storage,
IP's failover correctly, node service accounts are the same, second
node can connect to the instance by name when it is started on the

I have been "tapped" to install a passive node on an instance of SQL
that is not currently configured for clustering on a W2003. Can I
simply install clustering services on the current production instance,
then install a new instance on what would be the passive node? Then add

I have a Win2003, SQL 2005 active/passive cluster. We did a fresh install of
the OS and SQL. The install of SQL seemed to go OK. I installed SP1 with both
