Hi
I need to set security for row level but not based on Database user's
login. It should be based on the user table login. For the particular
user I need to allow only the particular records to access insert,
update delete and select.
Let me explain clearly

I have an HP Proliant DL380 clustered server running SQL2000 and W2K with a
mirrored array. I need to reconfigure the array to change the relative
sizes of data drives; backup drives; quorum drives, etc. AND upgrade to

Changing SQL Virtual Network name

Hello Everyone,
Since I'm in the process of decommissioning my production SQL 2000 server
and bring up a clustered two node system (Windows 2003 R2, SQL 2005), I would
like to preserve the instance (it was default) name on the old production
server and use it in the new cluster. Right now,... more >>
Move cluster to x64
Posted by Simon at 4/20/2006 8:55:03 AM
Hi,
Just been gotcha'd by the problem of adding x64 nodes to an x32 cluster...
Has anyone seen the steps to move all the resources and the Virtualserver to
a new x64 cluster (resources are SQL2000+SP4). Is it as straightforward as it
sounds?
Any pointers/articles gratefully received.

How do I add a network connection to an existing Win2K3 cluster?

I have a Windows 2003 cluster already built. For some reason, the secondary
NIC for the private (heartbeat) network connection did not get added to the
cluster. I am trying to figure out how to add it in. It is not a cluster
resource, so I cannot add it that way. Does anyone have any suggestions?... more >>

Hardware Compatibility
Posted by Leila at 4/20/2006 12:00:00 AM
Hi,
I read this in documents:
"If the solution does not appear on the HCL, the cluster configuration is
not supported."
What does "is not supported" mean exactly? Does it mean that virtual server
cannot be created? Or I cannot setup SQL Server for clustering environments?
Thanks in advance,

I've been searching for a Windows 2003 version of Course 2087,
Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Clustering, and there doesn't
appear to be an updated course. We've done a lot of clustering in the

Hi all,
is it possible to install SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition on two nodes of a
4-node-cluster? MSFT states that Standard Ed. supports two-node-clusters but
does it also supports a two-node-cluster within a 4-node Windows cluster?
Thanks and best regards
