How to Install SQL Server 2005 in active/active clustering
Posted by mleal at 7/27/2006 12:54:46 PM
Please, do you have any step by step to implement SQL Server 2005 in a
active/active cluster configuration. I have some doubts about the
virtual machines and how the installation should be done.

I would like to know if it's possible for the nlb to detect a close
connection from my server when SQL Server service is stopped ?
I can perfom the stuff with IIS (by updating metadatabase file), I
would like to know if something like this can be done with Sql Server
2000 (on Win 2003).

My client would like to set up a SQL Server with Active/Active Clustering

Cluster group and group 0

This is a SQL2005 active/passive cluster.
We noticed that doing a manual failover on Group0 works fine (group0 has all
the SQL volumes, service, and name). There is also a cluster group, which
has the Cluster IP, Name, Q:\ volume (quorum), and the MSDTC. When we
manually fail Group0, th... more >>
