Had an Active/Passive where passive had drive failure on system drive. New drives and a reinstall of Win2003 Ent. I have added it to the cluster, but I can't seem to install SQL2005 Ent. I have kept the same server namd and instance name in the install but it fails to take? Any ideas ?...more >>

I know that from SQL Server 2K the terms active/active and active/passive (that cames from SQL Server 7.0) are not really applicable anymore. Issue: I migrate an 8GB db from sql2000 to sql2005 from a backup version that I have in the network. It moved over the users, but they can't authenticate to the new server. All new users work fine. We have a EMC clarion SAN with fiber connection between 2 node cluster. Does anyone know how to rebuild/upgrade sql 2000 active/passive cluster to sql 2005 active/passive cluster in SAN.
