I have a consultant telling me that there is no such thing as an
active/active sql cluster. I want to install 2 seperate instances on 2
seperate sql 2005 servers in a cluster.

I had a Maintenance Plan with a scheduled job setup in SQL 2005. I have
deleted the Plan without deleting the scheduled job. Now I cannot delete the

We have SQL Server 2005 cluster setup, active/passive, 2 nodes, on Windows
2003. If I try to add a maintenance task using sql management studio on my

The client I'm working with has a 2-node Failover cluster. Owing to their
environment, they have several machines accessing the many databases. For
cost reasons, they went with SQL standard.

The sql services are all running under a domain logon that has "Domain
Admin" rights, and I'd like to change that.

physical memory 8 GB , i can increase the max memory to 6000 MB in the first

I was trying to move the msdtc resource to the msdtc group and I have messed
up the cluster by taking too much offline in an attempt to move it. now I
don't have access to the cluster as the cluster ip, network name are
offline.
Can I tweak the registry somehow to regain access to it?

WE have a 2 node win 2k3 x64 cluster (also x86 clusters with same problem)
with 2 instanses of SQL 2005 x64 and the MSDTC resource in the admin.
cluster group (quorum group).
