Hello,

I can seem to find any official Microsoft info on upgrading a SQl 2005
cluster to server 2003 sp2. The release notes dont mention an upgrade in a
cluster. I've done a few SP upgrades in a cluster before and the steps I
would take are:

-install SP on passive node, reboot
-move resources from active node to newly upgraded passive node
-install SP on passive node, reboot
-move resources back, test fail over

Is it still the case?

2 node active/passive SQL 2005 64 bit running on server 2003 enterprise x64

How to install service packs in a cluster :
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;174799

Before you install your Service Pack, ensure your hardware/storage vendor
supports SP2.

Rgds,
Edwin.
