sql server clustering : Clustering or Mirroring

They are not apples to apples. Mirroring is on the database level and you
can't mirror the system DBs. Mirroring can also be setup in various way or
degrees of HA. Clustering is at the machine level. What kind of HA are you
looking for?

Hello

Just wondered what peoples opinions were on the advantages of using
clustering over DB mirroring introduced in SQL 2005? From what I can see
having briefly looked into things is that the mirroring offers potentially a
less complex and cheaper solution not to mention the fact that you can have
mirrored databases in seperate locations. Are there any decent articles
around that compare the two options?

Thanks - Jack.
