asp.net announcements: Nevron Software team is pleased to announce the new Q4 2007 release of
Nevron .NET Vision - the professional data visualization component
suite for Windows Forms and ASP.NET development. This release
introduces major improvements in the AJAX support, which are common
for the Chart and Diagram components as well as new controls and
functionality in the User Interface Suite.

Nevron Chart Q4 2007

Nevron Chart for .NET Q4 2007 is powerful, flexible, extensible and
user-friendly. It aims to provide your applications with data
visualization capabilities, which will significantly improve the looks
and penetration of your product. Nevron Chart for .NET is a unique
component, because it combines visual richness with a vast amount of
charting and gauge types grouped together in a comprehensible and
extensible API. With advanced AJAX support, VS 2008 design time
support and a payload of useful features Nevron Chart for .NET is the
only complete component for building rich presentation, financial,
scientific and business dashboards for WinForm and WebForm
deployment.

What is new in version Q4 2007

- Nevron Chart is now compatible with SQL Server and State Server
session state modes.
- You can chose from all .NET raster image formats in AJAX mode.
- Extended server side interface for AJAX configuration. Now event
queueing can be configured at server side
- Added CallbackExecuting and CallbackExecuted events for generalized
handling of AJAX callbacks. The INHttpHandlerCallback interface is
extended with OnCallbackExecuting and OnCallbackExecuted methods.
- Custom command events in AJAX mode now provide a way to return
custom result to the client from within custom command handlers.
- Added image map in AJAX mode. Now mouse events interception at
client side can be filtered by custom regions, defined when the web
control is initialized at the server, saving in this way bandwith and
server resources.

Nevron Diagram Q4 2007

session state modes.
- You can chose from all .NET raster image formats in AJAX mode.

- Added image map in AJAX mode. Now mouse events interception at
client side can be filtered by custom regions, defined when the web
control is initialized at the server, saving in this way bandwith and
server resources.

Nevron User Interface Suite for .NET

What is new in version Q4 2007

NtreeList

The Q4 2007 release of Nevron User Interface for .NET introduces a
powerful new control named NTreeList. This control combines the
functionality of a tree-view and list-view and allows the display of
tabular data with hierarchical relations . Supported are features like
data-binding, multi-level grouping, sorting, clickable and resizable
column and row headers, best fitting for both nodes and columns,
column header drag-and-drop, etc. The control derives from the
NTreeViewEx and inherits its speed, memory optimization and instant
painting. Each row in the component is represented by an NTreeListNode
which stores a collection of NTreeListNodeSubItem instances. Each sub-
item may be attached to a desired column dynamically. Five predefined
sub-items are provided:

NTreeListNodeStringSubItem - represents a node that displays simple
text
NTreeListNodeImageSubItem - represents a node that displays a raster
image
NTreeListNodeBooleanSubItem - represents a node that displays a
Boolean value in the form of a check-box
NTreeListNodeNumericSubItem - represents a node that displays a
formatted numeric value such as integer, float or double
NTreeListNodeDateTimeSubItem - represents a node that displays a
formatted date-time value

Complete set of appearance formatting properties are provides allowing
you to adjust the look-and-feel to your specific needs. Further more
you may plug custom renderers and achieve virtually any specific
visual requirement.

NfileExplorer

The NFileExplorer is a predefined NTreeList which may be used to
browse the file system on the current machine. Each node is populated
on demand, when expanded. The control retrieves the images used by the
system for each drive, folder or file. An optional "Open file on
activate" feature is provided enabling you to use shell execute of the
selected file (open the file with the application associated with
it).

Skinning - Individual Controls

The Nevron skinning support has been further improved and now you may
assign a local skin to each INSkinnableControl instance. This gives
you the freedom to combine different skins in one GUI layer.

ToolStrip Skin Renderer
An NToolStripSkinRenderer component is provided which allows you to
make your .NET 2.0 tool-strips use the Nevron Skinning Logic. The
renderer is applicable at either global or local level. It may be
assigned different local skins or inherit the global skin from the
NSkinManager.

Masked TextBox
The NMaskedTextBox control is an override of the standard .NET 2.0
MaskedTextBox and extends its appearance to match the Nevron one.

NTreeViewEx - added sorting, filtering and searching functionality
The NTreeViewEx has been extended with new useful functionality. The
control can now be assigned a valid INFilter value which controls the
visibility of the nodes. If a node becomes hidden by a filter it
continues to exist in its parent collection but is no longer
displayed. An NTreeNodeCollection can now be sorted, optionally
recursively (all nested collections will also be sorted). A collection
can be searched for specific nodes using filters logic. Provided are
the predefined FindByText and FindByName methods.

Gallery panel - system images

The NSystemImages helper class can now retrieve an image from the
system's cache. The NGalleryPanel provides two special methods that
can be used to load and display all the system images - either the
small (16x16 pixels) or the large (32x32 pixels) ones.
